Ok. Me and my mucker have just found out we can go for a whole month to Spain in October - plan to see all the cities and major towns whilst throwing in some 'costas beachy days' (weather permitting). ... as we enter this lovely seaside resort & onto our hotel for the night. The hotel - the Imperial where once stayed Agatha Christie is perched in a hilltop overlooking Tor bay beautiful. ... felt like forever but was only 2 miles and 10 minutes but I think i got a lot greyer!! Once we were there it was amazing. So beautiful and a great lesson for Shira who learned about it this year at school. The grounds were incredible!!! We then journeyed back towards our hotel and had dinner in Exeter. ... surprises literally around every bend.
We discovered the ancient remains of the Roman city wall, churches, and beautfully restored buidings, a charming Devon village.
We fully realised we were on our holiday when we walked down to the quay and enjoyed a Cornish lager and local cider, chilling out watching the white swans on the River Exe.
We topped of our day with a lovely supper of local produce at Bill's.
