    11th-12th July A long day of traveling yesterday, we crossed the whole of Wisconsin. We drove to Milwaukee first to the Miller brewery where we had a tour, it was more about the history of Miller and their production capacity, than about beer making. We then drove to Madison, the state capital for lunch, it was a nice city, not very big, but with lots of independent shops and cafes. ...

    ... Prescott and boy it is warm, especially in our riding gear. All the local riders are wearing jeans and teesshirts and most don't wear helmets (not law in this state and many others in the USA ).

    ... are in a state like Wisconsin. The torture museum was only a mile or 2 off the road we were on. One mile from our destination, BOOM, you're in some sort of cheese curd, waterpark, tourist mecca. A 2-3 mile long strip of chachki shops, bathing suits, and Ripley's Beleive It or Nots, sneaks up on you real fast after you haven't seen anything more exciting than a non-red barn for the last 2 hours.

    ... move it and set it all up again from the end March to Oct. He said that the US Army sent along observers to learn how to move that many people, wagons, animals etc. so fast and efficient. After the museum we drove through some beautiful country in southern WI today. We ended up in the same Motel ind La Crosse we stayed at on our first night of the tour. We drove 207 miles today.
