          ... to get to La Crosse before nghtfall. That said, did manage to use some of the highways in and around Chicago and was able to get a feel for the area. Beautiful, green, lots of water springs to mind. But it is summer and I believe it gets pretty cold in winter. Ride was pretty uneventful save the fact that I am used to riding on the left hand side of the road and spent most of my day reminding myself to stay on the right hand side of the road.
