Since our flight from George Bush to Heathrow was direct, we were left with an insanely long layover. Our original plan was to search for a particular lounge, located in Terminal 5, that housed private rooms with day beds, showers, etc. Unfortunately, we never quite cleared up where it was located (in the Departures area, evidently), so we left the secured area of the terminal. Either way, our next flight was out of Terminal 1 and we still had access to the Terminal ...

... another 10 each. What a palaver. We got coffee to soothe the frustration and then to the train station to go to the Borough Markets. These markets appear on the Lifestyle cooking show.

First time on the underground!! The escalators are very long and very steep and numerous. But nothing has changed and they are still the best way round. On the way we saw the place where that dreadful helicopter accident had happened. The helicopter had crashed ...
