... went on for miles and miles and when we thought that it had finished it came back over the mountain.

We came to a town called Carlton and there was a detour and you couldn't go down the main street. We were diverted to another road and didn't get back on to the original road until we hit Twisp. After dinner we headed over to the hotel to change into our Pj's, and watched the Amazing Race season opener and relaxed until bed. We have to be up at 5:30am to catch a cab to the airport by 6:30. But the hotel is supplying a good breakfast before we head out. Hopefully it will stop pouring rain by tomorrow morning. The last flight from Bellingham we hit high winds and massive rains and almost got into a plane accident. At the moment it looks just like that day.

Woke this morning to grey low cloud and light rain. Not the best weather for Maria's birthday or sight seeing. We were booked on a tour with Lois, who takes travellers around the small town in a 1955 Chev. A very informative and personal tour which we both enjoyed.
