First horse show of the season and we did well. Steffen and Heather are our country pleasure champion and Axcel and Haley are our pleasure champion. ... but there are no visitor centers. (Full disclosure: they would have been closed on Monday anyway, had they still been extant.)
Plan C: find a couple of geocaches in Anderson (where the local visitor information center gave us some phone numbers for SCHC which at least solved the mystery of why the NPS visitor center phone numbers had been disconnected.)

We saw two humdingers (listen for the grain of salt here...): Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and a movie about racing cars, which, I swear I had to look up just now in order to remember the title. It's called Need for Speed (really, just the car kind, not the illegal drug kind), and, it turns out, is based on a video game.
We didn't leave Lake City till 8:30 this morning. It was such a beautiful day that we decided to take our time. We visited Falling Creek park a small county park just outside of Lake City off highway 100/41.

Heading home day. We got up a little earlier than normal, ate breakfast in the room and packed up. We were on the road by 9:00am, stopped for gas and ice and headed home. We stopped in Columbia at a Wendy's for lunch and got home around 3:00 pm... Really good to be ...
