We went on a beautiful day and explored the old city, the wall (muralla) and had a lot of fun going up to the top of the turrets! Then we went for lunch in the old city at a cute cafe called El Bistro. I had delicious carrot soup, and roast pork, and some Belgian beer! Ever since Brussels I've been addicted!

He has created such a masterpiece.

We walked up along the waterfront, along the Mediterranean Sea, and took many photos of the pretty surroundings.
It was a long day, but work staying two extra days to ...

... city wall, which gives wonderful 360 degree views of the city, a couple of church/cathedrals and some pretty good places to eat as well. It's a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the big city. One thing I like about cities with beautiful old buildings such as Girona is that they spotlight the buildings when it gets dark, making the town very scenic to walk through at night.
