    ... and supervised during the wash. The wind was blowing a little and it blew our lantern over and the light broke (you see, Bob broke the glue holding two of the pieces together so it was not standing firm and tall), so now I have to find a new light fixture. Since the closest LOWE'S is in Marble Falls, it will probably have to wait until we return home. We sat around and talked until about 3:30.

    At 4:00 12 of us (6 couples) got in three cars and secretly left ...

    ... Guadeloupe River. The view is wonderful and there are trails to hike, which I intend to do in the morning.

    The only eventful thing to happen today was we picked up a nail in one of the tires on the Honda. Thanks to my handy I-Phone, we found a place to fix it and it took 15 minutes and $15.00. Eazy-Peazy!

    Well, here we are at Miller Creek in Johnson city. This is the site of our Sep Renegade rally. So far there are three couples here, but it's only Monday. More will be coming in all the way til Thursday. Think this is going to be a small rally, according to the office, there are only 17 coaches reserved at this time. We arrived about 3pm, back into the heat. We are using the air conditioner for the first time in 2 weeks.

    We left Fort Stockton this morning about 9:30. ...

    ... and on ramps,six lanes full of traffic make sure that you have a GPS even then be prepared to take the wrong ramp occasionally.Other driver are generally courteous letting people merge and change lanes,just indicate early. Most states let you turn right on a red light if the way is clear.
    Heading to San Antonio for a two day break,we are just a bit over half way on our road trip.

    ... had to have warm homemade peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream for lunch. Delicious! We're sorry we can't take some of these peaches to Ohio since our peach crop was frosted out this year. We drove to Carlsbad, NM by 8:00PM. After checking out several hotels and being discouraged with their prices we stayed in a deluxe cabin at Carlsbad KOA. It was perfect and half the price of the hotels. We had planned to make this ...
