          Started out slow this AM forgot to charge the camera battery in preparation for my visit to the HALL. Well, achieved that and we were on our way with Lin driving as we did not really know where to park or how easy things were or whether she would return to the campground.
          As it turned out we parked and Lin and the dogs went into Town and hung around to await my return. We met at 1:00 for lunch and then they went to a park by the lake and I returned to complete my ...

          The drive through the Cherry Valley to this point has been wonderful, great scenery and full of history. The folks who are familiar with James Fenimore Copper( he wrote the Last of the Mohicans ) it was set in this Valley and for you baseball affectionatos Abner Doubleday founded the game right here --I know hard to believe but true.

          ... I say that already? The dining halls are also amazing. Rohan was a great tour guide. After the tour Rohan invited the tour group back to the admissions office for ice cream chipper sandwiches. What do you know!? Julia woke up for the ice cream sandwiches. Now she wants to come here, based on the ice cream sandwich quality alone. It was unanimous that Colgate has very high quality ice cream sandwiches.

          ... to the tiger.

          As we walked on, two beautiful blue cranes ate right next to the walking path. Only the wire fence separated us. They didn’t seem disturbed that we stood there.

          I can see why the zoo is so highly rated. Most of the habitats were natural and the walking paths were wooded and shaded. I’m glad we went there.
