Afterwards I walked towards the copy of the statue of David and the Uffrezi museum, walked across the Ponte Vecchio bridge and towards a church named Santo Spirito.     ... teaching us the basic phrases we need to know to get around supermarkets, clothing stores and restaurants. It is pretty interesting to learn Italian after taking Spanish for many years.     ... and were met by Amelia outside. We had to climb three flights of stairs with our bags, but it was worth it. The apartment is Amazing! (See photos). It's a huge contrast to the apartment in Rome. Its on the top floor, while the one in Rome was on the bottom, it's very spacious and light, while the one in Rome was tiny and dark, it's pretty expensive, while the one in Rome was cheaper.     Well my hotel room was small and once I had opened my suitcase I couldn't open the door but the shower was good (although I had forgotten that Italian hotels give you large "tea towels" as bath towels) the complimentary continental breakfast was great and the staff delightful. I think I won over the lady making the coffee when I had my second double espresso!!! I am more than happy to know that I will be returning here for a few more days after my workshop.
