    ... we hit the pavement wondering around the city. We picked our dinner spot in the best way possible, away from the tourist strip and how hot the waiter was...we were not disappointed!!! The food was also good and the wine AMAZING! Let's say it was an expensive day for food and wine but all extremely enjoyable!     ... office wall, which he graciously accepted with a hearty Fi, Fi, Fo, Fum! We walked up his beanstalk of a staircase to the fourth floor and his home. My little room was great, not too expensive but with all the mod cons and lavish breakfast every morning. It was a little pricier than what I'd been paying elsewhere but it was nice to have some creature comforts for a while. I dumped my gear, had a quick shower and headed out to explore Florence.

    Whilst I was sitting outside Santa Lorenzo waiting for the bus, a couple next to me were taking photos with his super dupper - big lense camera.     ... in line. Yes, 2 hours.  But really it was worth it.  The David statue is massive. I snapped a couple of pictures.  One of the agents yelled at me! "No photo! Nov photo!".  I didn't realize I couldn't.  Oops!  I walked around the rest of the museum, got yelled at again because I snapped another photo!   Oops!  I was pushing my luck!   Since I was having a bad day, I thought about cheering myself up.
