        ... br> Dinner was at El Chile Cafe. Fantastic enchiladas, and the waiter accidentally brought us an extra drink! (That's the excuse we're using for Mara drinking two drinks in the photo)

        Tomorrow is our first foray into the deep, dark recesses of the bureaucratic nightmare that is government archives. I'll be taking the phone GPS so we can navigate out of the library stacks. Wish us good luck!

Redevelopment and restoration beginning in the 1970s have turned the community into one of top Texas tourist destinations with 19th century homes today bed and breakfast attractions.
