... they usually get a bit of food from people.

We came across a street market, this was different to what we expected. It was like any market with lots of venders selling all sorts of stuff. Some of the food that they were selling was similar to Beijing, as in the grilled corn on the cob and spiral potato on a squire. Although there was varied types of food on offer there was no weird and wonderful stuff like fried scorpion.

... the wind in my face I instantly felt better and I was able to take screaming Indy back onto my lap. Definitely not the entry into NYC that I had hoped for!

That night we understandably slept well, until 3:30am when the jet lag kicked in so the first day we spent recovering. It was a nice family day in the hotel and we explored close by. We went for a walk to Time Square and bought some groceries from Walgreens...to us it looked like a mini supermarket ...

... to get him a wide angle lens as a thank you present. I make my way to B&H, this is a store run by the Jewish. It is a BIG store and when you walk in and look up there are conveyor belts where some boxes are zooming around your head. I already know what I want so I head straight to a counter and give the assistant my order. While he is taking my address for the invoice, out of no where he pulls out a yellow box with my goods. I spent an hour or two just watching the people ice-skate before I had a go myself. To my surprise I could actually do it after a few falls.

... start for our Viatour starting at Empire State at 7-30am! Front of Q so up in no time - excellent view / experience ! Then down to Intrepid / Space Shuttle exhibit ... the space shuttle is bigger than I thought! Then NY Water Taxi down to Battery Park for walk to Wall Street and 9/11 ... very moving (particularly the fact that they put a white flower against the individual's name who lost their life on their birthday). Long walk back then an entertaining ferry ...
