... jet lag hadn't subsided by then......oh my jet lag! I arrogantly thought that jet lag wouldn't affect me. However, for nearly 4 days after I'd arrived, I was waking up at 3am not being able to go back to sleep. I was shattered after that day. On Monday I headed to Universal Studios with my aunt. I actually hate fair grounds, I have never even been to Thorpe Park. But I genuinely enjoyed myself at Universal Studios. The rides are not like the ones you would find ...

... br> The queue was immense. I think I may have been there longer than the flight.
And the flight felt like a lifetime in itself. I was so convinced I was going
to get pulled aside and searched by an over enthusiastic border control officer
wearing latex gloves… but no. The most exciting thing that happened was getting
chatted up by the guy checking my papers. Boom.

... it was time to head to the museum.

The museum was quite big and I couldn't wait to explore everything. The first exhibit was the new dinosaur hall.The Dinosaur Hall was one of the most extraordinary dinosaur exhibits I had ever seen, apparently it is the premier dinosaur experience in the western United States. Inside were more than 300 real fossils, and 20 complete dinosaurs and ancient sea creatures.

... chilli served with cornbread washed down with a glass of water - drat … no flat whites or cappuccino – just filtered coffee. Doug had blueberry pie with vanilla icecream washed down with a tall glass of vanilla milkshake plus the rest of it in the milkshake container - about 2 tall glasses all up. I was surprised that he ate and drank it all !
