So after the run in with the law braaing our burgers on the beach, we headed into LA proper for the night. We hate to admit it, but we spent the night at the local Walmart, as we had already had dinner and just needed a place to park close to where we needed to be the next morning, Cruise America. We had booked a service to fix little leaks and squeaks and we did not want to get stuck in the LA traffic, and the local Walmart was only 5min away.

... observatory up in the hollywood hills. I was a bit worried about walking through random forest trails as I was not feeling overly safe in hollywood but we decided to go anyway. A couple of streets back we found ourselves around really rich looking houses in the hills of hollywood. I remember thinking it was strange that there was such desperation next to such wealth separated by only a few streets. I remember wondering how the desperate people are as well behaved as they are. ...

... we ordered ours and a regular pepperoni for him. Our bit for charity for the week. He actually got 2 pizzas because the girl at Dominoes mucked up the order. One for his friend, maybe. Free WIFI homed up perfectly here, so spent some time writing this first chapter. No photos yet of course. Tomorrow we are booked on the Coast Starlight train from LA to San Francisco, so will be armed with my camera for some great coastal scenery I ...

clothing and shoes from there and Ross (none for me yet, I'm being
“good” so far). Then we drove on the freeway to load up the RV
with propane at U-Haul and Ben bought a mini Taylor guitar for travel
fun (I probably called that the wrong thing!).

When we got home we went for dinner at
Jakes Roadhouse. Last time we were here ...
