... at the incredible homes - mansions even. I guess these were the homes of the folks that were important to "Hecla and Calumet" mining company. Stunning houses. A few were converted into Bed and Breakfasts as they are so big and was was called "Manor Inn". We were not expecting to see that. It was 2 degrees Celsius this morning when I woke up! I was right - just 2 degrees away from freezing and from seeing my breath. Thankfully it warms-up when the sun is out. I went for a walk on the beach (calm today) and saw a blue jay. This is not a popular bird as it has reputation of a magpie! Beautiful though. ... Peninsula and Lake Superior behind. A river and another lake in the middle of it all and layers of different trees turning beginning shades of Autumn.
