So here´s the deal:<br><br>I was hanging out in Mérida, Venezuela for a good while. Reading, attending a philosophy seminar, entertaining CouchSurfers, in general relaxing from a year of constant movement. One CouchSurfer to pass through the house was an English guy named Topher, short for Christopher. Why he´s shortened his given name in such a manner is beyond my comprehension. ... most of them are. These ones were once decorated with gold leaf, and paintings of a Roman-Catholic/Local style. The 3 of us wondered through several markets, and once again, I was trying my best not to **** my pants. I miss my iron stomach, it seems like mine is made of faberge eggs, now. We did more market browsing, went and had a drink, and then watched the sun set over the river. It was very nice, and I was toast by the time we got back to the hostel. ... to lose one of my running shoes in the river as I lept from the boat(I also broke a sandal in the jungle, so I'm having a hell of a time with shoes). We slept in a pretty dingy little place last night, and Lareina was feeling pretty sick with an ear/throat thing, so I went out in the afternoon, with some friends we had been travelling with. Once again, I've made no paragraphs, in my effort to remember everything, so I'll write yesterday/today in the next post. Same bat time, same bat channel.<br>
