... and celebrated Ray’s birthday at the local pub (surprise, surprise).

As we are getting very close to coming home, we are anxious to be closer to London so we spent 1 beautiful day seeing Somerset and headed off to Oxford. We are staying in a fancier hotel than normal (our last splurge) which is situated just out of Oxford in a little village on the Thames. We walked along the Thames to get into Oxford.

Our train ride today was rather short, only 1 1/2 hours. This train was more high tech than others since it had an electrical outlet at our table. We'll have to wait for the day until they have satellite wifi on the trains. This is holiday weekend in England so everyone is traveling and there was not a seat available on the train. We haven't seen that happen yet.

I can't find where, but before I found that the Visa application for India was over £80 in the UK. For this reasons I had a cunning plan to make my Visa at home (Portugal) where the price is 50€.
Now that I've everything planned, I started to deal with the paperwork and it seems the Visa is £39.24... Whatever...
