      ... stand at the railway station and stopped for a chat.

      Well thats it for Rockport. Tomorrow we go into the CBD, so there should not bo too much to write about. It is supposed to rain.. So far it has been fine but a bit muggy about 77F. Thursday am we are on the train for Washington DC. Convention week is getting closer! Catch you later.

      ... US tourists asking us. The cities were a bit overwhelming after travelling through the little back roads out in the countryside. Especially coming into Boston after going through the New England area. The narrow streets and confusing street signs. A lot of the streets were one way but cars were parked on both sides of the street. I certainly wouldn't want to be there in the winter with the snow ploughs going down the street.       ... clown around. They are good and can sound like any singer they want! They are 3 of a family of 16 children! 8 boys and 8 girls-must have been some interesting house! They are all big lads-at least 6 feet tall and big builds. They were # 11, 12, 13 in birth order. It was a good evening and glad I went. Back home, talked to Phil for a while and off to bed.

      ... just read a book, ‘AWOL on the Appalachian Trail’, and this makes it easier for us to see what he is doing and where. He woke up this morning in Virginia to snow, freezing weather and just plain cold!! Leaving Plymouth we decided to stop in to see Saul-called and he was there so drove to the Y.       ... then head out, but a few blocks later Phil realizes he forgot to buy cigars so back to town, and later something else he forgot but we went without whatever it was. The day was nice and warm and pretty out. This time we took the correct freeway exit and arrived at the St Joseph’s Cemetery.
