... been so out of it. ... the interchange at East Haven cause we may have taken the wrong exit (twice) and had to 'make a legal u-turn where possible and return to the designated route'. Geoff doing well with the right-hand side of the road driving but pretty tired cause it takes a lot of concentration. The B&B was nice and had a lovely view from our window across a small beach and bay. Owners were very friendly and helped us decide what to do in the next 4 days. Dinner, beach walk, bed. ... but we lost some weight when we loaded our 11' truck camper that weighs about 3,000 pounds.
All in all, we had a pleasant trip. Molly did well, considering that she has some anxiety issues due to her dementia. We expected to have problems with her, but she slept most of the way. ... capital of the world. ah but things don't last do they? So the best advice was for us to try and tone down our accent and stay out of pubs especially. So off we went, skulking from pole to pole to get views of buildings, (Pic 5), lurking surreptitiously along the shops, (Pic 6 ) passing pubs down the opposite side of the street ( Pic 7) sneaking a quick view of the holy of holies, the marina (Pic 8) and quickly disappearing after photographing the magnificent bridge.
