... it, in tact we all loved it and I am very happy!

From there to New Haven in Connecticut, the home of Yale University. A great drive through the countryside after leaving the highways. Such different housing up here in the colder climes.

Breakfast overlooking Yale. Of course, wrong time of year for tours, but we had a walk around and looked at some of the beautiful old and delicate buildings.

I suppose my concern is mostly with to whom I will be writing. Will she still be the same girl who gallivanted with me on a scavenger hunt in NYC and who, in her youth, left me entertaining phone messages? ... their facilities are great. We spent the morning in Starbucks enjoying an expensive tea and stealing their wifi. Cranston is a pretty well to do neighborhood so we were surrounded by some pretty snazzy looking business people. ... and beautiful. They are occupied by a motley collection of local businesses (pet food store, gym,children's clothing outlet, veterinarian), clearly much different from their heyday. Ware was followed by picturesque villages like West Brookfield, with a town green surrounded by white houses and a church.

... but had to go back because one of them had started taking in water. They had not even set off from Plymouth to start with but because of all the false starts had got dwindled down to one ship and eventually had made their way to Plymouth and with extra passengers set off from Plymouth. They had intended to head to the Hudson river but because of weather couldn't make it and also were more than a month late had to camp ...
