... to. We flew overnight, so landed at Sydney, a little tired, around 8 o'clock in the morning. There was a shuttle bus that we read about that could take us to hostel for a good price, it was a no brainer for us. We jumped into the mini bus with our luggage and got our first glimpse of Sydney as we drove to our home for the next four days, dropping off some passengers along the way. It didn't take too long till we arrived at base (excuse the pun) however, it was still ...

... was a fun night though, however very expensive! I bought Mike and Jonny a pint that cost 12 dollars each!!! But Mike had been so good to us all day so i didn't mind at all. The 4 of us had a quiet meal and some games of cards to round off the evening. Last full day in Sydney ...

... Sydney harbour. Went for lunch on the sea front. Then caught the ferry back into Sydney harbour. Went straight past the opera house and could see the harbour bridge for most of the journey. Got off in circular quay and walked through the botanical gardens. Met up with Laura Douglas for a drink and supper. Really nice rooftop bar. Saw some massive fruit bats! Off to the beach again ...

... The day was hazy, and although not particularly hot (maybe 25C), it was quite still and humid. By the time we got to Bronte Beach we were ready for a beer, and possibly a salad to wash it down with. We found the excellent Cafe Salina, and settled in. The squid in my salad was perfectly prepared, and the fruit they insisted on putting in the salad did not detract (generally I am not a fan of fruit in salads or on pizzas). The first beers did not ...
