    safely at the station I still had about 15 minutes before the train was due to
    leave and as it had not even arrived yet I walked slightly down the mountain to

    ... all the way to Mont Blanc on the Italian side and camp there by the town of Aosta. It was an expensive drive on the motorway that day but then the km go down fast and you get there quickly without spending 6 hours driving. We stopped for a coffee and ordered two lattes. Once out of the shop we realised that they had given us two cups of milk! No coffee! We added our own.     ... taking us 4 hours all up and although a bit sore leg wise and toenail wise, we all agreed it was a fantastic excursion. Coffee, beer and something to eat was a welcome treat on our arrival back in town.
