... they follow you even when you say no. No matter, we walk straight towards the lovely cathedral, in total awe of the architecture of this place. And then you turn around and realise that there are alot of lovely buildings in this square. There is one that looks like the Arc de Triumph, a Museum space, and, off in the distance I can see a statue (sure its got to be someone old and famous, so worth a look later on).

    ... atmosphere.
Lake Como, it has to be said, is huge. The water is clear and deep, and in the morning sun, it kind of looks like a grey, teal colour. Very unique. The mountains that rise up from every side of you keep the winds down and make this place unlike anything I have ever seen before. ... chandeliers.) The museum itself contains instruments, costumes, manuscripts, paintings of artists and numerous busts of composers. All beautifully displayed and well worth the visit. Our great slow day almost at an end, we stopped for a wine and a beer in the piazza again, to watch folk walk by. Great entertainment. Back by train and bus, to the noisy campsite , where the Philippino kids are still going strong and noisier then ...

... apartment in Como - wow wee - a stunning apartment - the building was right in the heart of the cobblestone city. The building was built in 1591 - no lifts were installed back then so all four large suitcases and two carry-on bags had to be carried up four flights of steep stone stairs to the top - a small price to pay for an amazing location and such a unique, spacious and comfortable experience.

We retired early as we were all pooped from a big day of ...
