George wasn't on the train we took from Milan to Venice, but he was spotted by by a couple in our party, near the Town Hall after the civil ceremony. We had a great hotel between the Rialto Bridge and St Marco. On Friday evening we explored the local cicchetti bars (similar to tapas) with our fellow food and wine tour members.

... Rome time (7:00 AM - USA time) to JFK in New York where we landed around 4:10 PM. (Italy is 6 hours ahead of us). We transferred planes and left JFK at 6:15 PM and headed home to Columbus, OH. now being quite skilled on the Milan Metro we headed to the Brera area and the Art Gallery where many famous artists are exhibited. Caravaggio,Rubens, Van Dyck, Rembrandt, Raphael and Bellini to name a few.

The Castella is now a museum with a range of early military body armour and weapons. It also contains some info on the on-going restoration work of the buildings.
