    A move into Germany, staying at a camp site near a Lake on the East of the City; it was next to the A1 Autobahn and under the flight path to Bremen Airport. As you can guess, not the quietest night we have had so far!

    ... highlights of our little tour was when we stopped at one of the stalls that was selling candle light covers of various designs. One in particular had a design of sailing ships and lighthouses to which Johanna's mother exclaimed "Urgh, so typisch Norddeutsch"....having experienced as much of Germany as I had, this internal joke reminiscent of England's North-South divide gave me a warm chuckle.

    This is a street that used to house barrel makers and served as a conduit between the market and the river. It fell into disuse in the 19th century but was brought back to prominence in the 1930s by a coffee magnate who encouraged artists to leave their mark in the narrow cobbled alleyways.
