... Garden entry for the evening Luau. The Smith Family Garden was very pretty with landscaped gardens and lakes. A perfect setting for a Luau. The property has been in the Smith family for many generations. Although it may not sound very Hawaiian, the name Smith is the surname of the Hawaiian family that still own and run the property. The evening started with free time to explore the gardens, followed by the traditional Imu ceremony, ...

Unfortunate for me, Livvy wasn't going to be the one doing the pedalling and the shops are all up ...

As soon as we docked in Port Allen, we headed "home" to Princeville. We showered and immediately hopped back in the car to head to Kapa'a for the renowned Smith Family Luau.

We arrived with plenty of time to walk and tour their lush 30-acre botanical garden featuring fruit orchards, bamboo forests, peacocks and walking paths.

After they unearthed this evening's main ...

It may not seem like it but I actually had a lot of rest and relaxation days during the week. There were several days that I just didn't feel like getting out and doing much. Strange, I know, since I'm on the beautiful island of Kaua'i and there is so much to see and do. The weather here is extremely odd and the rain can come and go in a matter of ...
