Well our group had around 4 hours in Delft all told - just about the perfect amount of time to explore this small but nice city.

Initially we took the group to De Delftse Pauw for a guided tour of the world famous Delft Pottery. The shop owners and staff were really friendly to the group and answered lots of questions! They showed our group the different sections and layers of the pottery and how things were made and we ...

... but overall, it was an easy trip. There was a group of about 60 noisy but cute 9 year old Belgium Boy Scouts on the train. Cute but noisy. Delft is really cute and quant. Many narrow streets and arched bridges. It's like walking around a Disney set it's so cool. Bikes everywhere- it's like we are back in Amsterdam with all the bikes. We might rent them ...

Day 3 - Delft

... later they went again with Danny. To end the day we (Marcus, Sara, Claire, Jacob, Becky and I ) went for a long walk around a local lake where revellers were having fun on the shore, dancing, playing football and having a beer ot two. Saturday we plan (Mike and I) to cycle the short distance into Delft as it is one of two weekly market days. The weather forecast remains promising for the next few days and I hope to start Saturday with a bike ride with Danny.

Most of this is 'Delftware', which originated in Delft, Holland. Not all of it is made there anymore, as strangely they never ...

... Christmas !

The village of Delft is a huge town square with bustling outdoor cafes. Had a really nice lunch and lots of laughs as usual!

The boat moved from Brunnisse To Kinderdijk to see the windmills.

Daffodils everywhere but no tulips so far ...
