Tiptoe Through the Tulips

A Delft Touch
... to see this huge barge come along, negotiate an “s” curve in the canal and clear through the open bridge and be gone, all in about 3 or 4 minutes. No sooner had things settled down and bicycles and foot traffic started across the bridge when along comes another barge and it all goes on again. Three big barges came through in the 60 minutes or so that we sat here.
