From Amsterdam we hopped on a train for an hour or so along to the small town of Delft just near the Hague. We don't have long in Holland, just 9 days but wanted to make the most of it and venture further out than Amsterdam.

My hometown has been as low as -45 C! (Yes, that's a minus!) I'm not sure how I feel about a green Christmas yet although I'm fairly convinced I didn't miss the cold this year. The mild weather makes for fresh, crisp air in the mornings and comfortable evening weather ...

The 9 Streets and the Jordaan

... the central station area of town and looked around some shops there. Found a small sex shop with various toys and dvds in there. Had a decent look around but didn't buy anything which displeased the *****y owner. Laughed and ran out. Found a way through the canals in the central city and down to some giant department store. Found the New Market square and more narrow alleys full of shops. Stumbled ...
