This morning we took a train out of Central station to Delft. Central station is where sailors and passengers would enter into Amsterdam long ago. It is old and beautiful. We sat in the most beautiful Starbucks I have ever seen and had breakfast. We were on our way to the Royal Delft factory to tour it and paint our own Delft. More on that later.

... wine-and-beer party with two other Canadians from Prince George the night before, but still decided to get myself off to Delft. The beautiful thing with the Utrecht-Delft train route is that it doesn't exist as a direct line, so you have to go via Den Haag, so - not knowing whether what I was doing was actually train ticket fraud or not - I hopped out at The Hague for a poke around to get double the Dutch towns for my money.

Arrived in the afternoon on Wednesday. Took a canal cruise....160 canals! Walked thru the Red Light district. Visited a Diamond manufacture & saw a diamond worth over $100,000.00 Went on a tour out in the country...to Volendam, used to be a fishing village.
