We slept in this morning, and then had breakfast at the hotel. We both really like this hotel because it's inside the walled city and soooo convenient, but the woman who owns it is a pain. She constantly acts like she's mad about something. We just ignore her. i emailed my friend Maria this morning, and asked if she, her boyfriend, and daughter would like to join us for dinner. You may remember, I met Maria at the B & B I lived at when I ...

The drive took us through small villages and through a beautiful valley surrounded by huge mountains confirming our love of the scenery in this part of the world.

We were expecting this to be much nicer looking, along the lines of the Rialto in Venice, but no. It is old but the shops that line it give it ...

... to ask the question I want answered in Italian, the whole coffee break is over and I haven't spoken to anyone. Its soooo frustrating!!

After class I hired a bike, as that is what you do in Lucca, and I rode around all afternoon. I rode along the top of the wall in the rain and looked down into old Lucca on one side and a really green, heavily treed area on the other side. Lucca is very flat so to be able to get up ...

... about yacht week. By 13:30 we were in Lucca, our final destination. Viktor, Alexs sort of uncle and his friend drove us to Lucchio, the town in which they live. It is literally situated on the side of a mountain. We were greetd by the guard goat of the mountain that literally sits at the bottom of the hill and waits for people to come and feed her she is 30 years old. We had to take our bags up via cage electrical wire. Then up steps ...
