... mozzies, but we now have buzz off, so hopefully she will be ok now. Its been hot here in the 30's so some cooler weather will be good. We are going to a town called Lucca which is a walled city. Craig and I are taking a bike ride so it should be fun. On Friday its back to Milan by train, a couple of days of sight seeing and then off home. Take care and love to all, Scarfy and ...

... day peppered by retreats into eating houses to shelter from the rain...tried the local specialty: spelt wheat and bean soup: very filling, but not so exciting: rabbit was better. I also love the local custom of serving aperitivo when you order a glass of wine from a bar: usually comprises chips and olives, and sometimes a little cheese, stuffed peppers... Good value for one, that plus a €2 slice of pizza did me for tea... Oh and the prosecco that went with it!
