    ... there and we were too tired for that much stimulation so, we headed toward home, not sure what to do. Alone in the B&B common area, we poured ourselves a drink at the B&B bar cart. After a couple more pours, we were getting hungry - surprise, surprise. So, we went around the corner to Pizzeria di Ninni, where we found out the Caprese salad with prosciutto was ginormous and we probably didn't need the "Ninni" ...

    ... Colleseum, it was still grand however disappointing that half of it was under costruction. We got some clothes for Max (avoiding Armani) and wearily jumped on the train to Florence.

    Using Florence as a stop over on our way to Lucca we retreated from the crowds in a homely looking pizzeria. We had a giggle at the man making the pizzas, and couldn't figure out if he looked like Mario or Luigi more (complete with moustache and hat!) it didn't matter after our pizza was ...

    ... managed to catch up on a year's worth of early mornings, late nights and middle of the night wake ups that are the blissful tiredness of first-year parenting. We also enjoyed walking around the wall at night, wondering the streets of Lucca, the expensive tourist shops, reading a whole fiction book (bliss!!) and also a trip to PIsa. The leaning tower was the highlight!

    The pictures are worth a look. Rome is next....
