... we found a restaurant open that maybe would let us use the phone. Lucky around the corner there was a Pizza Hut that was open (well sorta). We found out later they closed at 9pm. The ladies were kind enough not only to let us use the phone, but also speak to someone on the other side after I pathetically could not make the phone work. As the women hung up I swear she was going to tell me that it was after check in time and no one was going ...

Another highlight of the little old town is Belfry. Please be careful, if you are not fit, since you have to catch your breath while climbing up to the top of the tower. And the spiral stairwell is narrow and steep.

I enjoyed meandering through the narrow cobblestone streets past vast Cathedrals and ancient castles, along historic canals and antediluvian squares with an assortment of traditional and modern cafes and shops that all seem to blend seamlessly together.

What a life to cycle in such enchanting towns and cities.

... so a good decision not to have stayed. The audience of 150 still there, but most seemed to be using the strange music as a back drop for their conversations.

To have ventilation in the boat at night, we have rigged up an umbrella which we put through our hatch and fasten so it doesn’t take off like Mary Poppins. It gives us the ventilation and it is there in case of any rain or unwanted debris blowing in. We can’t say it stops the midges ...
