It was all hand-built houses, colourful painted walls, organic coffee shops, outdoor fire pots, friendly faces, and an overwhelming stench of weed.
It was gorgeous though, and the laws of this place were what we should all live off!

... think of God, this one was where the Danish kings were crowned, so it was gilded up the wazoo. Everything is covered in paintings, gold, ivory, or other decorations. To show off, the king purchased what was (at the time) the world's largest portable organ. It was so large, you couldn't move it.
Also, this is where the shield awards are kept. Apparently there is a Danish Order of the Elephant where the Queen can give out special awards (or maybe knighthood?) to ...
... by the amount of trash everywhere. We watched a street cleaner, & I use that term loosely, shove the trash around. Didn't really pick anything up, just shoved it around a bit! Also saw a man asleep on a bench. Walking a bit further toward Tivoli, we came upon a wonderful bakery that looked to be quite popular. Of course we had to buy a Danish! ... arrived at Rosenborg Castle just in time for opening. We enjoyed our tour of the Castle as it is very authentic having been maintained in its original state. We also toured the Treasury which houses the Danish crown jewels so it was lovely seeing so many beautiful gems in all their glittering glory.
Following a long walk from the Castle we lunched along the popular canal strip yet again. Sally and I shared a beautiful medley ...
