    ... and with pride. Nice to see!!! Then came the race. It wasn't too exciting, but it had a surprise ending with Carl Edwards winning because he didn't have to make a pit stop for fuel, Biffle - second and Earnhardt - third. Next came the walk back to camp---talk about a crowd!!!
    So ends our -TEN DAYS OF THUNDER with a few extra days thrown in the mix. Great time, a once in a lifetime for us! Loved sharing it with Kitty and Bobby-hard for us to hang with ...

    We had pit passes for today's race. Eddie - not interested. He stayed at the coach and then watched the Xfinity race on the tv. Kitty, Bobby and I headed for the pits about 2 o'clock.     Midday, our friend Gary (works at Hendrick's) called and said come over for a tour. Thanks to him we got the " up close and personal " tour of the race shops for the 24, 5, 88, 48. Interesting seeing behinds the scenes work that goes into producing championship cars. Everyone there was friendly. We spent about 90 min. there. Back to camp and Kitty and Bobby took off ...

    Went to Walmart again for more provisions. 103.31 on visa for more beer and some sodas and water...on visa. 100.81 for chicken, spaghetti things, other things and ice.....100.81 on visa. Got things put away, made the potato salad and Diane took a shower. Joel got the chicken legs on the grill.     During the day we checked out some vendors. Then we found a spot so Bobby could fly his drone. He did a great job for being a novice drone pilot. The only blooper was forgetting to take off the lens cap so we have no drone video. We went to the track to watch qualifying, (Kenseth got the pole for the 600), some ladies had a high heel 50 yard race (Wendy Venturini won that race), and a Legends car race (winner - ? ...
