A beer at the local bistro, then back for a rest, and to catch up on the Tour summaries on French TV. Froome gains the maillot ...

... them. They must have thought we were mad.  Whilst waiting for our 5th drive through town, Peter suggested he drove,  Did I mention that Peter was waiting for an eye operation. Cue meltdown number two from me. To hIs credit Peter didn't have meltdowns, he calmly waited for me to finish mine.   But he did later accept that this one was in part down to his suggestion. We again agreed a strategy - I would drive very very slow and if this annoyed cars behind ...
