Today is Saturday, December 13th 2014. This was the day I was looking forward to the most on my trip. This was my full day in Bastogne. No schedule. No where to be. Just me, my camera, my Band of Brothers and Patton movie soundtrack tunes (along with a lot of other patriotic music) and my desire to see as much as possible. My idea was to hit the Battle of the Bulge memorial and museum and then make my way out of the town to try to find the Easy Company ...

... The exhibit was phenomenal and increased my pride in my school. It was basically a history of the school, it's traditions and personal pieces on those mentioned above. I get a lot of flack from friends about being an Aggie. All in good fun most of the time, but I'm so very proud to be one. And it's things like this, when you see how it affects people on the other side of the world, that it really hits home how unique it is to be an Aggie. And ...

... no wind. Not bad. Stopped for soup at Rochefort. More road works and pavements being replaced. Good soup and back on the road, this time taking the road less travelled. Obscure roads through tiny villages veering across the countryside.

for later consumption. Really too sad to see such small fish taken out.

The beach front has a very well laid out promenade with
various monuments, fountains and contemporary art works along its length. The
whole front is backed by holiday flats and hotels and I could imagine that
during summer holidays the place must really buzz.

... right, they claimed it. It was big, lots of carved hedges. I would recommend it to any person who likes carved plants.

Once we explored over 30 topiary trees we headed for some lunch. heading back to above the market. Found a nice gastropub and got some food. Maggie ordered the creaser salad and i got the mushroom soup with bread and Froi Gras. Unfortunately maggies ceaser salad came with langoustine. As she is allergic to shrimp we didn't ...
