This is a very pretty old town that sits on a bend in the river and is overlooked by the castle that stands on the cliff top on the opposite side of the river. The narrow cobbled streets are packed with tourist shops selling Bohemian crystal at highly inflated prices, cafes, restaurants and bars. This old town spreads steeply uphill from the river bank to the churches at the top.

Paris is a charmful, attractive city which has a lot of secrets to tell. It is impossible to get the full and complete picture about it in just few days but nevertheless we really enjoyed our staying there. Interesting, beautiful, full of life, Paris is always in a motion.

... with a zillion other people was fun, a walk through the surrounding gardens and then down Avenue des Champs Élysées to the Arc de Triomphe. I love this walk and again a million other people agreed with me. Once at the arc it took us ages and a about three failed attempts to find a tunnel under the 12 way round about which acts like a mote around this monument. Paris: Days 2 & 3

... was devoted to automatons, while the other focused on slight-of-hand magic. There we saw a magic show. The magician spoke English, so he translated some of the act, and Sage even got to be one of the volunteers. However, even without the translation, the kids were fascinated. Following the act, we got to tour the museum which consisted of tools of the magic trade, optical illusion pieces, and fun house mirrors. Sage and Bryn both loved the mirrors.
