      We were pretty pleased to be leaving Provincetown for a bigger city with hopefully some life. On the way down the coast we passed some mental halloween displays outside houses and took a detour to the Cape Cod crisp factory! Loads of free samples so I was happy.       ... through the gate more than once he would not graduate and if a girl did it she would not get married. Obviously these were really old (and sexist) superstitions but I wonder how many people avoid that gate anyways. We spent the evening in a McDonalds using their wifi and managed to only get a coffee.       ... through the area of Newtown where Chris stayed back in 2005. Then out into the country. Lots of woods by the railway line with trees that have green, lots of yellow, a few orange and occasional red leaves. Really pretty. Also passed a number of small towns. (Only stopped at 2 stations - Framingham and Worcester). Most houses we've passed are made out of clapboard and they don't have fences between them.       ... but Ted's well planned and for us very personalised back roads tour certainly made up for it.
      We did however enjoy the beautiful Fall colours during the following month in Canada!

      The broad ranging discussions, without the constraints of being on a small bus, resulted in a very informative and enjoyable day.
