Mein Flieger geht um 20:40 Uhr, doch muss ich 1 Stunde vorher eingecheckt haben. Jetzt war es schon 19:00 Uhr. Schnell fuhren wir wieder zurück in Johns Haus. John beruhigte mich. „Du musst bloß 30 Minuten vor Abflug da sein, da Du heute keinen internationalen Anschluss mehr hast. Wenn wir um 19:55 Uhr hier los fahren ist das früh genug.“ „Puuhh, Glück gehabt.“

... bikes and all of the luggage turned up. Cleared customs eventually and then into the city to meet the awesome Richard of Wales and Jemma who we'd be staying with for a couple of days.

2/3/12 was spent rebuilding the bikes after the flight, sorting gear and checking out Auckland to pick up the bits and pieces required to live off of a bike for three months. The plan at the moment is to camp half the week and then spend the rest in hostels, B&B's and motels.

... We stopped for a break at the marine reserve off Goats Island for a swim/snorkel/ sunbathe and lunch. Rob saw lots of snapper in the water here.
At 4 pm we wre on the road again, heading south which took us through Auckland. We were very low on fuel when we reached the city and had a tense time trying to find a petrol station before we ran dry! Our search took us all round the city and over the harbour bridge ( quite a spectacular view from there of Sky Tower). We finally ...
