    As we left the last campground we had a bit of challenging travel. First was a tunnel with a total height of 10ft, so we had to backtrack and find another route. As we were passing through another area we had to cross a one lane bridge with a total width of 10 ft.     ... and it still falls apart. ) The fly started "spitting" water in heavy down pours. The rain fly is never tight, it sags, even using the guy lines. When it gets wet, the rain fly will touch the tent body, allowing condensation to run down the side of the body, into the UNSEALED seam by the tub....and into the tent. When you have to get out of the tent, the damn zipper on the rain fly catches the zipper cover and jams up....at least 3 out of 4 ...

    ... tried talking her into skipping the Whites, so we can summit together....but she doesn't want to summit. She says she does not want me to have to come back and do a bunch of sections later.     ... We met 3 Thumbs at the summit, he got his name because of a farming accident, the clippings thrower on the back of a tractor caught his two fingers, smashing the tips flat (best I can describe......take a hammer and smash the last knuckle on two fingers about 4 times...ouch!), causing them to look like his thumbs. He is a really cool guy, we hiked with him for a good while, before he headed to the shelter, we are heading further and will talk with him ...
