... took 15 mins of travelling slowly to get out of the harbour, because of other boats, the seaplanes landing strip, kayaks, etc. Then he hit it and we whipped over the tops of the small waves. At times he made it like we were on a shotover type ride, zigzagging and twisting & turning. It took us half an hour to reach where he had heard that there was orca activity.

... many hours were invested in organizing but it was a LOT! And it took about a year to plan the whole thing - with a few changes along the way even while enroute. It was a labour of love though and even though it was incredibly frustrating at times it was incredibly staying as well.

L was anxious to get home by the time we got to Tokyo but she still asked "where should we go next time?" Hmmm...good question.

Hmm, the logical place to start is why we decided to do this, a logical and linear direction to follow, but I don't wanna and I'm not gonna. I think the reasons for doing this will be woven into our experience and hopefully be expressed in the blog.

It's Day Six of our journey so I will backtrack us a little to get us on the same page, so to speak.

We were at sea ALL DAY AGAIN IN THE FOG. Both of us were so ready to be on land again and mostly so we would have internet! LOL It's hard being forced to unplug yourself from your phone & email. I did go down to the ship's internet café and logged on for a bit so I could get news about my mother & print our boarding passes. It ended up costing me about $25 for 20 minutes. :(( Ridiculous.
