... known a Killer Whale. That name is a little misleading though as it's no more a killer than any other whale, it eats Salmon in this area, and it's not even a whale, it's a large dolphin. The Orca's don't have the distinctive 'tail dive' that the humpback Whales have, the only tell tale sign is the fin, dark, tall and menacing, it moves quickly as the whale chases the salmon, occasionally its body comes up above the surface revealing ...

The cruise is all but over now, just two dinners left and we’ll be heading back to Abbotsford. We are hopeful that our car will start ok. It’s been sitting at the long-term lot at the airport now for some forty-three days without being started – let’s hope all goes ok ...

A week on a bee farm

... down the mountain! Once near the hives, we suited up in our protective bee keeper gear then went to inspect the hives. I did not think that honey could be so heavy, nor the bees so loud! All checks done it was time to head back down the mountain, less scary on the way down thankfully!!! I only spent a week with Peter but it was a really enjoyable week and I think the highlight had to be his homemade pulled pork pizza :) Next stop: ...

... there would now be a boat drill. A moment later, a voice several octaves higher shouted "fire in the forward companionway...all crew to muster stations!" I don't think he actually added "Oh my gaaaawd, we're all gonna die!" but it felt like he had. The passenger deck suddenly resembled a colony of startled meerkats and the words "they did say drill, didn't they?" echoed up and down the boat.

Kim's Vietnamese Restaurant
This was another find. We had tried Vietnamese food for the first time the night before in Calgary.
We happened to walk past Kim's as we were walking around and when we looked at Trip Advisor for recommended places to eat we saw that Kim's was also highly recommended.
Again, we were pleasantly surprised and the food was plentiful, tasty and good value for money. It lives up ...
