... the history and marvel at the wonder of space flight and the spirit of adventure. The Saturn V exhibit was the highlight in my book.  The last time I saw a Saturn V, it was languishing in a rusty rocket farm park bleached by the Florida sun with little more than a faded plaque.  The new facility treats it like the wonder it is.  Lots of displays, simulators, mixed media presentations, artifacts...very impressive.  It was interesting to think that only a ...

We made it to Cape Canaveral! Vern, Kim and the kids, along with Kevin and I, drove down to Canaveral from Atlanta. It took about 8 hours but there were lots of laughs, and some ice cream, to pass the time. Donna, Greg and the boys are on the way, but had a tough time with their flight. ... Lunch took up longer than we expected and by then our rooms were ready by 1:30 p.m. We go to check out our gorgeous staterooms with a verandah on Floor 10.

Outstanding! Our party has 3 rooms next to each other and our verandahs connect to each other so we can easily hang out at each others' place.

... admit I had never previously seen a 3D movie.

The movie we watched was "Space Station". It was fascinating. The 3D effect made it all the more interesting and realistic.

After the movie we waited near the gift shop while Tyler and Hillary went to the Shuttle Launch Experience. At the conclusion of that we made our way back to the condo. We were tired when we got back so we opted to order Chinese food. That topped the day off well.
