The massive granite cannon balls used when enemies laid siege were pilled up in the moat, massive things, and you can see the damage the inflicted on the fortifications - but at 6m think and in a cylindrical shape most cannon balls just glanced off the walls. We had a wonderful flight with Delta! Kelly and I had our own row and were served dinner, snacks, breakfast & even some cheap vino while spending the hours watching free movies on our personal TVs and snoozing with complimentary eye pillows and ear plugs.
