On November 11, 2014, we will be leaving Holland, MI and going to Bluefields, Nicaragua to stay for 7 weeks with our friends, RCA missionaries Adrian and Bernardeth Kelly-Bobb. ... on the new haircut? The airport was crazy busy when I arrived, and lets just say it got interesting trying to get my huge suitcase off the luggage belt. I eventually tackled it and hiked it off! It only dragged me for a split second, lol. Finally, I was relived when I got in a cab and knew it was my last leg of transportation to reach my final destination. Roma!

In a couple of hours we'll be leaving Holland to begin the first leg of our journey. Somehow leaving on September 11 feels appropriate because, as tragic as it was, this day above all others reminds me of the strength and courage of Americans, both now and in those early days of the founding of the original colonies.

... dinner. Luckily we stumbled upon Captain Lou's Bar and Grill where I could feed my addiction to fish taco's. Karen had the perch basket and both were great meals in pleasant surroundings as we sat outside on the canal, watching the boats cruise back to their berths.
I can understand why this place is such a popular weekend getaway for Chicagoans.
