... a place on our way out of town to hike out to the Copper River prior to heading to Valdez (about 2 hours from here) We will either stay in Valdez OR head toward Anchorage and stay at a state park by the Matannuska Glacier where we can hike out to the glacier. One way or the other we will get out to that glacier on Friday before heading to Anchorage. Tune in for what that decision will ...

... just say after looking at walrus for weeks, little Harper looked like the cutest thing. She is actually really cute though even w/ out the relative comparison.
Got to have some one on one time with the little poop machine b/w yelling and feeding time w/ momma Jessyka. Ate kale soup to my hearts content and even got jonah out of the house for a few hrs one night.

Glacier Bay

Very cold drizzly day. We went on deck several times to see glaciers, but it was fogged in until late in the afternoon when we were finally able to see them. Stood out in the drizzle and viewed Marjorie glacier and saw several calvings (pieces breaking off.) It's quite spectacular to see the calving. That's what everyone waits for.

Today was another day at sea. Until mid-afternoon we were out in open water without much to look at. Emily spent time at the teen center and we re-packed. After lunch I did a 5K walk "On Deck for the Cure" which is a Princess Cruises fundraiser for the Susan G Komen Foundation. I walked the entire distance with a woman from Denver and we had an enjoyable time chatting.

... they secured the cabin. Once on we settled in and then took a tour of the ship including going out on the observation deck where we saw a glacier (not sure of name – pic below), lighthouse. It was spitting rain and was very windy so we didn’t stay long outside. The ship has several enclosed decks so it makes viewing out very nice!
