... Gjoa Haven. I wish I had read this before my trip last year, it has lent a lot of insight on the language and the culture. In an effort to learn more native culture and try my had at one of the eleven official languages of Yellowknife, I have started to study South Slavey. The teacher is amazing, very inspired and motivating. It is quite difficult to pronounce the new words but it's been a lot of fun to learn.

... Bedingung, dass er auch auf dem Bild sei, testete ich ihn. Wenn auch murrend und stöhnend, hievte er sich aus dem Wagen und erfüllte mir auch diesen Wunsch. Was für ein tolles Souvenir!



Und da es doch höchst unangebracht wäre, einen solchen einzigartigen Tag mit einem austauschbaren 0815 ATR-Flug zu beschliessen, ist damit auch gleich Schluss.
Und Schluss ist nicht nur für heute, denn auch meine gesamte Reise fand ...

... s been amazing to see the subarctic tundra come alive! This spring and summer has been long awaited.

With the sun up nearly all hours now, we treat ourselves to late night hikes and beautiful sunsets around midnight.

The landscape still seems quite stark in comparison to the south but looking closely, you can find there are many beautiful colours of nature in macro-vision...

Sunday was the potluck at Paul and Sarah's acreage. Pretty much everyone came for that and we got to visit more with our new siblings and with family we hadn't seen in a while, including new family members. My cousin's new baby is just adorable and I'm so glad we got to meet him! DJ even got a picture of Jarod holding Jamie... I just love ...
