... Monument and spent some time at the Sunset Cliffs Natural Park and the tide pools.
Then we drove all along the San Diego bay, saw Mission beach, the Midway Naval Museum, downtown and went to Coronado Island. Here you find the Hotel del Coronado, famous for (amongst many other things) the movie 'some like it hot' they shot there with Marilyn Monroe.

... surely not good if there is a surprise visit of The United States Public Health in a port! He was stressing cleanliness of their cabins. Their cabins are inspected without notice by the way.
