... getting fuller. We quickly found our hotel....the Kings Inn at Hotel Circle. Another motel style hotel....typical two storey block with ice machines on every corner and a pool in the middle....this one heated and with a hot tub. It was quite late so we drove to the nearby mall Fashion Valley and ate at the Cheesecake Factory.....if you've never been to one, they don't just do cheesecake, they have a massive menu and generally very good. ... A fast road with sand, sagebrush and some Joshua trees on both sides took us to Barstow. This is near Justin's birthplace and Brenda's home for a few years. We picked her "Walmart" to get provisions and a McDonalds lunch. After a short drive on old Rt 66, we headed direct to San Diego.

When we arrived at the Residence Inn Mission Valley San Diego, we found that our room, a 2 bedroom suite, had "plumbing problems". They had no more of these suites ...

We found our favorite almond tequila and bought a couple of bottles after sampling in the stores then checked out the line to get back to the US. ... is the town of Santa Barbara. It is sunny, and the weather is very nice. We wander the pier and the waterfront. It's a nice walk and we're happy for the great weather.
