... heard that a local motorcycle store owner started the event in 1981. In the summer months when a Friday The 13th occurs, up to 150,000 motorcycles flood into town. Wow. Maura and I were relieved that this Friday was not the thirteenth as we zonked out in our beds back at The Erie Beach Motel for a quiet's night sleep.

... at the Ground Round Grill and all I can say is that the intelligence level does not speak well for Americans. Our server tried to convince us that 3 people getting 10% off was better than 2 people getting 10% off and one getting 15% off, OMG!
At noon on the 28th, we could see some of Lake Superior which was the colour of red clay but later it was normal colour. We stayed in a college town, Marquette in Michigan at Brentwood motel. ...

... and awesome. He set us all up with a rod each, two stands, his tackle box, ... he even offered us his clothing so we would be warm. He taught us how to fish, gave us tips on how to be the best, ie. how high the fish should be off the bottom, what kinds of fish are in the lake and how to make them choose our bait over the other free swimming food etc.
We filled the car with his expensive equipment and set off.

... in NZ last year but she is from Canada. They took me back to Kailyns parents place where they are currently living which is in Norwich, about an hour and a half southwest of Toronto. Got to the house about dinner time and the parents had cooked drunken chicken for dinner. Craziness, the put an open can of beer inside a chicken, and cook it on the BBQ. The beer bubbles out and flavours the chicken apparently. Was a pretty funny meal as Kailyns mum and dad had already ...
