... many hours were invested in organizing but it was a LOT! And it took about a year to plan the whole thing - with a few changes along the way even while enroute. It was a labour of love though and even though it was incredibly frustrating at times it was incredibly staying as well.

L was anxious to get home by the time we got to Tokyo but she still asked "where should we go next time?" Hmmm...good question.

Headed off to the Vancouver Art Gallery. The building is reminiscent of our own city hall having been built in the same depression years. Saw exhibitions of past and present Canadian Art. ... in the distance. Tanya and I were on the wrong side of the boat and just missed this sighting. Lori was moved to tears at the sight and Tanya and I were bummed at our first small dose of bad luck. Hopefully, there would be many more sightings of killer whales in the future.

We landed on the island and were back in the vans speeding towards Victoria while hashing out our walkie-talkie handles. I was leaning towards "Dr. Bigfoot." After a 30 minute ...
