    ... as the sun was setting. At the end I pointed out Mount Doug in the distance which we had hiked that morning. Looking the other way from the breakwater one could clearly see Olympic National Park in Washington, USA. It was very pretty with the sunset orange and pink tones. It amazed me that the land mass across the ocean was another country. It would be like being able to see New Zealand from Sydney!

    ... When we left at1130 there were literally dozens and dozens of busses, and hundreds of cars outside, so glad we got in early.     We made our way through the gardens within the garden - the Sunken Garden, Mediterranean Garden, Bog Garden, Sturgeon Garden, Japanese Garden, Italian Garden and lastely the most spectacular of them all, the Rose Garden (due to the time of year the roses were in full blossom!).
