Easy travel day today--we headed out after another delicious breakfast from our B&B hostess to drive down the barrier islands to Mississippi. Before leaving Pensacola, however, we cruised by the Art Museum so that I could take pictures of the advertising for that Lego exhibit that was advertised on the Blue Wahoo jerseys the other night. We also saw the USS Drum SS 228 submarine today. It is on the same site as the USS Alabama and it is cool to get on a sub. The USS Drum SS 228 sank 15 Japanese ships during it's service. The sub is 311 ft long, 27 feet wide and could stay submerged for 24 hours at 2 knots. It had a crew of 72 men and carried 94,400 gallons of diesel. Boy, I could use some of that fuel on this ...
