It was great to return to work and see everyone. I also had to make it through a stack of mail and get my mind wrapped around what needed to be done first. Then, I had to teach a class that night at IU. I dare say the students did not have me at my best, but they were all very understanding and tolerant of my sleepy ...
Sometimes getting ready for a trip is harder than the trip. So, this time, on top of the laundry, the mail-stopping, the packing, I needed to add the grading of 161 personal essays by 9th grade writers. Ye-haa!
Well, the papers got graded and the grade book is closed for two weeks. Can I hear another cheer of celebration?!!!
This trip will be nice to get away but it will also be a happy ...
... style. Our first stop was Taps. A craft beer mecca. 50+ taps, all devoted to craft beer. A large portion locally made. Have I mentioned how amazing the craft beer scene is in Indiana and Michigan? They know to make really outstanding beer around these parts. Another bar for more craft beer and then a taxi home to recharge for the next day.
Our next day was grey and rainy. No one else in Bloomington seemed to care, ...
... I am not sure if I will return, although the offer is open, but I have grown because of my time there.

During my weekend stay in Bloomington, I went for a run on the B Line Trail. Being a former railway, its now a nice trail. Start in the city a little movement natural some nice nature pics me trying hitchhiking (in vain) and review of a discussion with girl scouts Enjoy
