Had the good fortune to be invited to participate in a pure bred Angus aution. Cows in this part of the world spend their life grazing hundreds of acres. These farms dominate the Northern Virginia, Shenandoah Valley landscape. I have grown up with family members farming and never really had an idea for the value of these animals, the value of the land they are grazing and the science of farming beef cattle-until today.

Tomorrow we are up at 4:30am as we are leaving at 5:30 for a ride with a group of Harley Davidson riders to York Pennsylvania to meet with Bill and Karen Davidson, great grand children of Willie A Davidson (the founder of Harley Davidson) to unveil a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle to be ridden to Milwaukie and put in the Harley Davidson museum. It's an eight day trip and we are so excited.
