Well I'm off to see Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Austria. My son and daughter are over there and invited me to come and stay awhile. My son said he didn't know it was for 6 weeks, but it was ok because my visa is only for 90 days so he knows he can send me back. LOL.

When I planned this journey, my life was in a different place.

Make no mistake, excitement builds in me as I am driven to the airport for what will be an expedition of twenty two days taking me to new places, new cultures and, well, new everything. But, there is newness at home that puts this trip on notice that if any part of it lags I will be homesick.

... a towel over the pillowcase--it is a gross place!!!! We did go over to a little pub that Ike used to hang out in and play darts for a while and that was more fun than sitting in the room!


The next day we visited a former friend of Ike's, then saw Harry Truman house and some pretty parts of town before we head towards Illinois and Greensburg, Indiana: our destination for the day.
