... a reservoir so we made a U-turn and headed back to check it out. It was not visible from the road so without seeing the sign you would miss it. We drove down the road about a quarter of a mile or so and saw the parking lot. We pulled up and found a beautiful reservoir. Or was it a lake? Well, I don’t really know what the difference is so I looked it up. Well, it didn’t really help me as the many definitions I looked at were contradictory and ...

... 8217;t last long but it figures that I just paid to have it washed and now it rains. Hopefully, it won’t have made a mess of things.

So, tomorrow we will all load up and head to the higher ground. The forecast says it may rain some more tomorrow afternoon, but it doesn’t look like it should be too much. On the plus side, it cooled things off a bit more and at this stage of the game, that is a good thing.

Alle and Eric spoke with some people up in the area and were told the wind ...

We ended the day with a great dinner at Charlie Clarks's Steak house. We ran into an old friend from work, Ron Smith, who is also up here with his family. Ron mentioned he and his family were hiking today not far from the San Juan fire that has flared up east of Show Low. Already 2,000 acres burned. So sad for the families who live in the area and for the beautiful forest in this area.
