So we are near the boot of Italy tonight. Out on the coast at a small sort of B & B called Borgo di Santa Barbara. It is a few Kms past Tropea and not like the one closely named the same in California. In fact we are within sight of the sea, within meters of the railway line and within fewer meters of 6 goats and a rooster who thought it was morning about 5:30 when we arrived. The extremely rude Alitalia agent blamed our travel agent and rudely dismissed us by rudely saying there was nothing she could do (did I mention she was rude?). So off to Rome we went and half an hour later, after an advertised "9 minute" walk to our Rome/Toronto gate (we were in the passport control line-up longer than that, let alone the marathon walk), ...
