... with the smell theme of this blog, my stop at 99 Ranch Market was also smell-friendly! Sarah was making delicious Thai curry, but couldn't get a hold of thai basil and kaffir lemon leaves. I headed up to Van Nuys and walked into 99 Ranch Market. It was amazing that again, even though I was 3,500 miles away from home, 99 ranch market smells the exact same as it does at home! It immediately brought back memories of going to markets like ...

... ordered two rolls of sushi instead of two pieces. I know. Rookie mistake. Or maybe just a dumb mistake. So I ate a lot of sushi the next day. I like trying new foods and LA is known for their ethnic food, so I'm glad I got to try some Ramen. We went out in West Hollywood, "WeHo," and also known as the gay part of town. We absolutely loved it. We made two friends who took us to a really cool dance bar that ...

... toast. It was good to sit around the table with the family as they exchanged stories.

After brunch Hinesh and I go for a walk around the neighbourhood. It is so pretty here, blue skies, cool breeze. I know why they wish they could all be California girls. We of course return in time for the US vs Portugal match. The whole house bar me was going for USA, I was going for Ronaldo. After an early goal Portugal rested on their laurels for ...
