    ... but this was my first time, so it was super exciting for me!

    We had to be back on ship by around 4pm to leave, so we got back to the ship, hung out by the pool, and enjoyed some time in the casino and the pool area. We enjoyed the water slide area the most. We may have been the only adults taking advantage of it, but hey. We can't resist a good water slide. ;)

    There was this one game in the casino that really got our attention and we spent a lot ...

    ... to enjoy this "luxury" is because others need to work the long unforgiving hours (for how much money, really?) required to feed and clean up after the passengers. Catalina Express ferry, Ferry Landing, Catalina Island, 2pm

    About to head back to LA, it seems like a good time to reflect on my stay on Catalina.

    What I liked:

    • The aforementioned clean and quiet vehicles;
    • The community feel and people going out of their way to help you eg the lady who told me which hotel was cheapest when ...

    On a beautiful morning we had breakfast on the patio! We went for a walk to the seafront and then up State Street to the Old Town Area. This was greatly damaged by the 1926 Earthquake. Shops do not open until 10.30 - 11 and by that time we are on the road, so Willie is saving a fortune! We saw a building entitled the Ronald Reagan Centre for Youth. Although it was closed we had a peek in and there was a section of the Berlin Wall with a caption, Mr Gorbechev, break down this ...
