Back on the bus and as we nearing Banff smoke plumes were coming out of the pine forests but this was just preventative burning - made good photos!

... and interest through the remainder of the afternoon -- waterways, waterfalls, bridges, creeks, etc- too many to remember and mention. Besides, my iPad battery wore down to 10%! However, the Shuswap Lake is worthy specific mention for it's coastline is 630 miles and it is 500 feet deep! ... asked to get out of the way by some Canadian lady and her.....shall we say large....child. Apparently we were blocking the doorway that was wide enough for a Sumo wrestler and two of his extra large friends to come through. Suitably chastised Carla and I settled in for an excellent meal. ... What a ride that must have been. The final push really took it out of us and it was with great relief the we came across this amazing little Tea House. A rustic two storey cabin accompanied by a few single storey cabins, which apparently offer accommodation to the staff who work on a five day rota, hiking in just as we had, carrying up supplies and returning five days later taking the garbage down ...
