... way back I managed to face plant spectacularly whilst trying to be clever and run through the powder... After two strides I failed miserably! Back on the blue bus we were dropped off in downtown where we went for some lunch, but the hangover had kicked in now exercise had stopped, with soph not having the energy or will power to eat much of her pasta and I for once struggled to eat mine. Luckily now we are on the greyhound again for 7hours so can sleep it ...

Back on the bus and as we nearing Banff smoke plumes were coming out of the pine forests but this was just preventative burning - made good photos!
I had booked into a lodge and the others were staying at a backpackers hostel but I joined them there for T, chatted with the French and Singapore girls and a young German lad. Great ...

A really good sleep again. Up and on the go after a really nice breakfast, a mile to much food. After we picked up our photos from yesterday our Group Photo, we were all aboard the bus for the days travel and sight seeing. Our first stop was just down the road 1/2 hour at the Spiral Railway Tunnel, which is just about all under the mountain, so when a train comes along it enters the tunnel and does a 180 o circle rising onto a very steep grade and comes out the ...

I had read in a brochure that not all campsites are placed in reservations and the earlier you got there, the better the chance of getting one of the so called "walk in" sites. At any rate, we continued the few miles down the road and arrived at the campground at 12:00 with fingers crossed.
