... but the 360* view of the world is spectacular. I spent about 2 hours in the Cafe up there. I'm yet to find a place that has good food. Dinner was a gregarious occasion! we went to some Vegetarian place - unbeknown to me at the time of selection, good spot though. Bears are clearly valued greatly in the National Parks. We saw a sign to say one area was closed because a mother grizzly and her cubs had been seen. Today we saw a sign to say that the track could only be used by parties of at least four. It empasised this was manditory. April told us later that often people would wait at the Trailhead and join others. The rule is usually for the bears benefit - the larger groups making ...

... the Gondola to the heights. It was magnificent, the day was clear and sunny and we took delight in the wonderful panorama. The view of the Banff Springs Hotel which took up so much of the scene was impressive to put it mildly. A trip to Bow falls didn't disappoint either. The walk to the top revealed a great view of Banff Springs Hotel as well.
